CELEBRATION OF KAREN’S LIFE SERVICE: 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at the White Oak Church, rural Oblong, Illinois with Bro Alvin Neidigh officiating. Burial will follow in the White Oak Cemetery.

Karen Sue Jacobs, 53, of Oblong, Illinois passed away at her residence on Tuesday, December 23, 2014.
Born in Olney, Illinois on April 10, 1961, she was the daughter of Clarence “Cy” Perkins and Mary Ellen (Crum) Perkins. On July 2, 1983 she married Gerold William Jacobs and he survives.
Karen was a 1979 graduate of Oblong High School; graduated from Lincoln Trail College in 1982 with a degree as Date Processor; was employed as a Computer Tech at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson; owner of Magic Moments Photo Studio; member of the Henpeck CB Club for many years; and most recently enjoyed driving her Amish friends as needed. She enjoyed cross stitching, reading, scrapbooking and her dogs, which were a big part of her life.
Survivors include her husband, Gerold of Oblong, IL.; a sister and brother-in-law Tonia and George Fitz, Oblong, IL; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Janet and Bob Littlejohn, Annapolis, IL; and Patty Jayne, Camargo, IL.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Harold and Martha Jacobs.
